머라이어 캐리(Mariah Carey) - Obsessed

머라이어 캐리의 Obsessed (집착)

노래 제목이 집착이라는 단어를 썼다. 단순히 작사가가 곡에 붙여 만든 가사와 노래 제목이 아니라 이건 랩퍼들이 많이 쓰는 상호비방, 디스전에 가까운 노래다. 그래서 제목도 집착이다.

실제 이 노래의 뮤직비디오를 보면 더 자세한 내용을 알 수 있다.

뮤직 비디오에는 한명의 스토커가 등장하고 모든 장소와 상황에서 스토커로 보이는 남정네가 나온다 (그 남정네는 머라이어 캐리가 연기했다)

말 그대로 집착한다. 머라이어 캐리가 가는 모든 곳, 촬영장, 길거리까지 그 남정네가 나온다.

호텔에 가면 호텔직원으로, 뮤직 비디오 촬영장에서조차 스탭으로 그 후질구레한 남자가 계속 나온다.

그는 후드티를 입고 두건을 두르면서 힙합스러운 행동도 간혹 보여준다.

그가 머무는 방에는 머라이어 캐리의 사진으로 도배되어 있고 그녀를 향해 집착하는 모습을 계속 보여준다.

유명 여가수로서 겪을 수 있는 스토커 팬의 이야기로 보일 수 있지만 이 노래와 뮤직비디오는 머라이어 캐리 본인과 관련이 깊은 노래다.

실제 있었던 일을 바탕으로 감정을 노래로 표현한 것인데 이 후드티가 의미하는 사람, 두건을 두르고 랩퍼 흉낼르 내는 사람은 에미넴 (Eminem)

교제를 했던 두 사람은 헤어졌는데 에미넴이 집착에 가까운 스토커 짓을 한다고 노래로 맞대응을 한 것이다.

에미넘은 연애를 하면서 있었던 일(같이 자면서 찍은 사진들)을 공개하겠다고 머라이어 캐리를 압박했고 심지어 가지고 있던 기록물 중에서 머라이어 캐리의 음성을 가지고 샘플링을 만들어 노래를 만들겠다고도 했다. 그리고 실제로 머라이어 캐리를 공격하는 노래를 만들어 공개한다.

이에 디스를 당한 캐리가 가수로서 노래로 답가를 준 것이 이 노래 "집착"이다.

집착 좀 그만하고 꺼져줄래~

우리나라에도 가수들이 서로 비방하고 디스전을 하는 경우가 있는데 머라이어 캐리는 디스전조차 작품으로 만드는 파워를 가졌다.

우리나라 가수도 디스전 어설프게 하고 노래같지도 않은 그냥 욕지거리만 쓰지말고 제대로 된 노래로 만들어 맞대응하는 능력이 필요해 보인다.

에미넘에게 넌 작은 가게, 난 기업이라고 하는 포스가 역시 세계적인 명가수이자 디바 답다.

노래와 영상은 크게 상관없는데 가사는 19금이 붙어서 인증 받아야 가사를 볼 수 있다. 디스전에 사용하는 가사다보니..
